(TB) 'Obsidian' 2002, Smith'Obsidian' (Marky Smith, R. 2001). Seedling# 95-37B. TB, height 33" (84 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards dark grape purple (blacker than RHS 86A), becoming black toward tip; style arms dark purple (86A); falls velvet purple black, dark purple (86A) around beard, faint lilac (86C) tracings; beards dark purple, hairs tipped cream, yellow in throat. 'Before The Storm' X Keppel seedling #88-40A, pollen parent of 'Storm Track'. Aitken 2002. Award of Merit 2006.
