(TB) 'Vintner' 1996, Smith'Vintner' (Marky Smith, R. 1994). Seedling# 90-54A. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason late bloom. Standards black garnet (darker, redder than RHS 79), shading to near-black edge, dark red violet midrib; falls same, blacker rim, dark brown shoulders, few pale orchid marks near beard; beards very dark violet (darker than 93); ruffled; slight spicy fragrance. 'Warrior King' X seedling# 87-22A: ('Back in Black' x ('Storm Center' x 'Visual Arts')). Aitken's Salmon Creek 1996.
